Refund Policy
Returns
Subject to the Exceptions hereunder, you can return an item you bought from us within 15 calendar
days after the day you received it.
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
It must also be in the original packaging.
Exceptions
Unfortunately, due to the handmade nature of the skincare products, we do not accept returns or
exchanges for such skincare items. We also do not accept returns or exchanges of gift certificates and
any discounted or sale items. Accordingly, no refund or exchange is offered for skincare products, gift
cards and any discounted or sale items.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email that we have received your
returned item(s). If your refund is approved, your refund will be applied to the original method of
payment used when placing the order. A refund can take 1–14 business days. After it has been
processed, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund, the actual refund
amount if approved and the date we issue it.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund more than 14 business days after the refund was issued, please contact
your credit card company and/or your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is
posted, and the length of such processing time varies, depending on your credit card company and/or
your bank.
If you’ve contacted your credit card company and/or your bank and you still have not received your
refund beyond the processing time provided, please contact us at hello@butteredbykenya.com.
Exchanges
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email that we have received your
returned item(s). We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your exchange. If your
exchange is approved, we will send out the new order in accordance with our Shipping Policy.
Gift Return
Subject to the Exceptions above, if an item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to
you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the refund is approved after inspection
of the returned item, a gift certificate will be sent to you via email.
If an item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or if the purchaser had the item shipped to
themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the original purchaser, subject to the terms of
this Refund Policy. Accordingly, the purchaser will be informed of your return.
Return and Exchange Shipping
You are responsible for paying for the shipping costs to send any item(s) back to us.
If you are shipping an item(s) over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or
purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned

Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or exchange for handmade items.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Refunds (if applicable)
Unfortunately, handmade sale items cannot be refunded. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Unfortunately, handmade sale items cannot be refunded.
